Gordon R. Fournier has been named Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for the Piston Group. He will report to the group’s founder, chairman, and CEO Vinnie Johnson. Fournier’s role is effective March 16,2020.
Fournier will oversee the group’s overall operational performance, with responsibility for financial management, planning and reporting, as well as financial controls, treasury functions and financing for the Piston Group companies, including Piston Automotive, Irvin Automotive Products and AIREA, as well as the group’s controlling interest in Detroit Thermal Systems.
“Gordon’s strong operational and financial background across multiple industries, coupled with his global experience provides the ideal competencies to manage our company’s performance and strategic growth,” said Vinnie Johnson. “We look forward to his leadership and contributions to our team.”
Previously, Fournier served as president of Masco Cabinetry, a subsidiary of Masco Corporation. He also held the role as the company’s chief financial officer and led a significant turnaround of the company. He was named Masco’s CFO of the year in 2016. Prior to joining Masco, Fournier held numerous financial leadership roles with Johnson Controls Inc. including vice president of finance positions for Automotive Global Complete Seat, Automotive Electronics & Interiors, and Automotive Seating Americas. He also served as executive director, Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis; and vice president and chief financial officer, Varta Autobatterie GmbH in Germany.
Fournier earned a master’s and bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University.
