Lou Stoney joins Piston Group as Chief Financial Officer, leading enterprise financial strategy, capital structure, performance oversight, financial governance; and serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership on growth, investment, and operational initiatives.

He brings an exceptionally deep familiarity with the organization, having held various senior finance leadership roles within the company that span the full breadth of the finance function, giving him a unique understanding of the business, its operations, and the strategic drivers that create long-term value.

Most recently, Lou served as Chief Financial Officer of Wolverine Advanced Materials, a private equity-backed global manufacturer, where he oversaw financial operations, strengthened reporting infrastructure, and partnered with executive leadership to drive strategic growth and organizational performance through a period of significant transformation.

Earlier in his career, Lou held finance roles at General Motors, PwC, and Baker Tilly, where he built a strong foundation in financial reporting, compliance, and transaction support across complex business environments.

Lou holds a bachelor of arts in accounting from Michigan State University and a CPA credential. He is known for his collaborative leadership style and his commitment to aligning financial strategy with long-term business performance and value creation. Outside of work, Lou enjoys spending time with his family and friends and is active in his community.
