Bob Holloway serves as Chief Operating Officer of Piston Group, reporting to Vinnie Johnson, Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. In this role, Bob provides operational leadership and oversight across Piston Group’s family of companies and serves on the Board of Directors for Detroit Thermal Systems, LLC.

Subject to Vinnie Johnson’s oversight, Bob is responsible for the general management and operational performance of Piston Group and its business units, including Piston Interiors, LLC, Piston Automotive, LLC, and Detroit Thermal Systems, LLC. The presidents of each business unit report to Bob Holloway and Vinnie Johnson. With Bob’s valuable input, Vinnie Johnson continues to manage the organization’s day-to-day operations, business performance, and strategic execution.

Prior to being named Chief Operating Officer, Bob served as President of Piston Automotive beginning in January 2019. During his tenure, he led the company’s strategic direction, oversaw operations across 10 U.S.-based manufacturing locations, and helped drive business development, engineering advancement, and product diversification initiatives that supported significant growth.

Bob joined Piston Automotive in 2007 as Director of Sales and Program Management and advanced through several senior leadership roles, including Vice President and General Manager.

Before joining Piston, Bob spent 10 years with Ford Motor Company in product engineering, program management, and quality leadership roles. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Kalamazoo College, studied Mechanical Engineering at Michigan State University, and earned a graduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Bob resides in Plymouth, Michigan. He is a sports enthusiast and enjoys spending time with his three children, friends, and extended family.
